Veteran Congress leader and former Union Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar in his new book, "A Maverick in Politics" has claimed that he never called PM Modi a "chai-wala"
Aiyar, known for his controversial remarks which also led to him being suspended by the party on numerous occasions, noted that the person who said he was a 'chaiwala' was Modi himself – in order to “stress his somewhat doubtful claim to humble beginnings”.
