Reduce time and effort when performing SI screw surgical imaging while improving image consistency. Here is a quick demonstration of how to maintain the object of interest in the center of the field of view during inlet and outlet projections as required of S.I. screw insertion.
The use of live fluoroscopy in this example is to demonstrate the movement of the object. During imaging of a human, you would not be exposing while sweeping from one view to the next.
Finding the image fulcrum for inlet and outlet projections can save a lot of time and effort for the both the technologist and the surgeon which can result in less surgery time for the patient. This will provide more consistent imaging and greatly minimize the number of exposures and therefore dose required to reproduce projections.
