This video is created for students in the CSU NR426 - Programming for GIS I class, by instructor Elizabeth Tulanowski.
It covers downloading PyCharm and setting up the interpreter for arcpy.

When creating a PyCharm project, you need to set up the interpreter so PyCharm can see the right Python libraries, in our case, it needs to see arcpy.

In the project settings, Add a new interpreter - System Interpreter - browse to the location of your Python installation.

For most computers, the path to arcpy is:
C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Pro\bin\Python\envs\arcgispro-py3

For some computers, it may be in your user profile on the C:\ drive:
C:\users\username\ and then in an AppData folder. The easiest thing to do is search your user profile folder for "arcgispro-py3"
