Описание: In 1957-58 the International Geophysical Year was an international scientific project that included using aerial photography to map the mountains of Antarctica. But it wasn’t until 1966 that a group of climbers was able to launch an expedition to explore the area. The American Antarctic Mountaineering Expedition of 1966-67 was a team of 10 American men who would make the first ascents of six of Antarctica’s tallest peaks, including Vinson Massif. 56 years later, on May 22, 2022, the three living members of that group came together at FUSION in Albuquerque New Mexico to share photos and stories of that historic trip.
