Ulriksdal Castle is located in the Royal National City Park and was built in the 17th century. The highlights include rooms furnished in the 19th century for Karl XV and the Great Living Room furnished in 1923 for Gustaf VI Adolf.
Several regents have left their mark on the castle – Fredrik I, Karl XIV Johan, Karl XV and Gustaf VI Adolf, who last used the castle as a royal residence. Even Queen Kristina appreciated the castle, so much so that she had her coronation procession start from Ulriksdal Castle in 1650.
Ulriksdal is a modern 17th-century castle, the highlights include the living room designed by Carl Malmsten.
The castle is surrounded by a large castle park. In the park there are sculptures by, among others, Per Lundgren's sculpture group 'De netdragande morians'. The sculptures can be viewed by the footbridge over the Igelbäcken, which flows through the castle park.
The sights also include the orangery in the castle park, which is now the site of the National Museum's collection of Swedish sculpture
