A thousand bottles of the world's most expensive beer, made from ancient recipes uncovered by archeologists exploring an Egyptian pyramid, went on sale in London on Monday (2/7) at Harrods Department store. The price tag for the "Tutankhamun Ale": one thousand pounds
sterling ($8,000) for the first bottle; 50 pounds ($80) for each of the remaining 999. Brewers at the British company, Scottish and Newcastle, say they have faithfully reproduced the "golden ale" consumed by the the
Egyptians during the golden age of their civilisation.
