VETERAN PRIDE (Lessons from Vets) was written by Monte Selby with Ron Ladehoff, David Schmidt, Jim Teske, Jon Bricker, Bob Daniels, Dan Shine, Marlin Moeller, Richard Fry, JoAnn Klein, Sue Kitzman, Phyllis Moeller, and Regina Fry.
The song was performed for the 20th Annual Veterans Day Program hosted by BCLUW Middle School in Union, Iowa. Funding was made possible by an annual appropriation from the Iowa Legislature to the Iowa Arts Council, a division of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs and by the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
