At an East of England metal detecting rally in Norfolk, I uncovered a stunning 14th-century Edward III Quarter Noble - a coin struck during the reign of Edward III of England in the 1300s.

But this wasn’t just about the coin.

I also take the coin to renowned conservator Barry Sherlock, respected throughout the detecting community for his exceptional artefact restoration work from the Bronze Age through to the Georgian period. He will be carefully straightening the coin over the coming months.
