Amy Pollock, MSU’s director of general chemistry, invited us to attend a couple of lectures to see the school’s new Chemistry, Life, the Universe, and Everything curriculum in action. The lecture format stresses student engagement and provides students with assistance beyond the professor, in the form of roaming graduate teaching assistants and learning assistants.
