Fake beauty products are becoming a huge problem online and Amazon might have a much bigger counterfeit skincare problem than you realise!

From fake K-Beauty and viral skincare to potentially counterfeit sunscreens, buying a knock-off beauty product isn’t just a case of wasting your money. When you have no idea what’s actually inside a product, or whether a sunscreen is providing the SPF protection it claims, there can be genuine risks involved.

So in today’s video, i'm looking at how fake beauty products end up on Amazon, why K-Beauty has become such a big target for counterfeiters, how third-party sellers can appear on legitimate product listings, the problem with fake reviews, and what Amazon is actually doing about it.

Most importantly, I’ll show you some of the things you can check before AND after buying skincare online to help work out whether a product might be fake, including the seller, price, packaging, batch codes, reviews, texture and smell.
