1. Primary description.
Disaster Management is about being aware of our being repeatedly affected by disasters and undertaking effective and timely prevention and mitigation measures.
Trail of disaster incidences during the current (2025) monsoon period, particularly in the month of August - from Dharali to Tharali and damming of Bhagirathi and Yamuna - call for introspection, not only of the triggers but also of reasons that aggravated the devastation.
Wrong choice go habitation comes forth as the main cause of devastation and uncontrolled and unscientific development in the fragile Himalayan region is the ammunition that is triggering disasters in a variety of ways.
Get to know all about this in detail and that too in plain and simple Hindi.
