They’ve performed in front of everyone from Elvis Presley and Sir Cliff Richard to Diana Ross and the Queen.
But it will soon be the end of an era, as the world-famous Dagenham Girl Pipers say a sad farewell after 94 years together.
At the height of their fame, there were five touring bands travelling the globe, fans queued for autographs and the girls even performed for Adolf Hitler just before the outbreak of World War Two.
But with the distraction of mobile phones, computers and gaming devices, the band has found it increasingly hard to attract new, younger members and has decided to bow out this autumn with a final farewell performance.
