Speaking on the incident, Raju Bista stated that violence is not the path his party believes in and emphasized that any grievances should be addressed through legal and democratic channels. He said that if complaints are filed with the police, the administration should investigate the matter and take appropriate action.

The BJP leader also launched a political attack on the ruling All India Trinamool Congress, alleging that public dissatisfaction has grown over issues related to governance, corruption, and infiltration. According to him, anger among sections of the public has become increasingly visible in different parts of the state.
