Welcome to the park of the future. Embracing smart design and technology for the public to enjoy, Wharf Street Basin is being transformed from an inaccessible drainage basin into a multi-functional Next Generation Community Park. The Wharf Street Basin project is a new park providing much needed amenity in the City Centre and will be completed by June 2020.
The City is proud to partner with Smart Cities and Suburbs Program, Water Corporation, Department of Water and Environmental Regulation, Parks and Wildlife, Western Australia, Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions, Curtin University – School of Design and Built Environment, Innovation Central AU, Urbaqua and Josh Byrne and Associates (Josh's House) to deliver this exciting project.
The Canning City Centre is humming with activity with Cecil Avenue West due for completion by December this year and the Lake Street Urban Street project commencing soon.
