Smooth Royal Flight? THAI ROYAL FIRST CLASS review - TG 677 from Tokyo Narita to Bangkok (77W)

Join us on board THAI Airways Royal First Class from Tokyo Narita to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi.

Thai Airways offers Royal First Class service only to London-Heathrow and Tokyo-Narita.
Current First Class product is found on three Boeing 777-300ER (HS-TTA / HS-TTB and HS-TTC)

The beautifully appointed Royal First cabin offers an elegant and comfortable experience.
While the First Class cabin is undeniably luxurious, it lacks a bit of privacy compared to other top-tier products.
The cabin crew was warm, attentive and genuinely caring, showcasing the signature Thai hospitality.
However, the service protocols felt less refined and precise compared to the polished routines of Singapore Airlines, which made the overall experience slightly less consistent.

One unexpected downside: there was a shortage of hot meals options during the flight, a surprising miss for a First Class product.

My journey begins in Shinagawa station with the Narita Express (N'EX), Japan's fast and comfortable train service connecting Tokyo to Narita International airport. With spacious seating and reliable departure times, it's one of the most efficient ways to reach the airport, especially if you're traveling with luggages.

Check-in was quick thanks to dedicated First Class counter.
Before the flight, I had access to ANA Suite Lounge (Satellite 5), ANA flagship lounge for First Class passengers and top-tier Diamond service members.
The lounge features a spacious layout with various seating options including:
comfortable armchairs arranged in open areas
private workstations equipped with desks and TVs
relaxation zones with massage chairs
Large windows offer ample natural light and views of the tarmac, enhancing the overall ambiance.

While the food quality is commendable (self-serve buffet with a selection of hot and cold dishes, a Noodle bar offering made-to-order items like ramen), the absence of à la carte dining and personalized service may be noticeable for some travelers.

The lounge offers 10 well-maintained shower suites. But note that these facilities are shared with adjacent ANA lounge, but Suite Lounge guests receive priority access.

This lounge provides a comfortable and tranquil environment. It's a solid choice for relaxation and refreshment before the flight but those seeking a more opulent experience might find it modest in comparison.

Arriving in BKK in Thai Royal First Class means stepping off the plane into a smooth and stress-free welcome. Passengers are met at the aircraft door by a ground staff member holding a name sign, then whisked through fast-track immigration. No queues, no waiting.
It's an elegant and efficient arrival experience that reflects Thai Airways' premium service hospitality.
