Alerta Katipunan (On alert, Katipunan!) in English, is a Filipino marching song first written around the Philippine Revolution. (1896-1898) The melody of the marching song originates from the Spanish colonial March "Voluntarios ¡Viva España!," with Filipino revolutionaries repurposing such later on. The march would be popular during the war of independence, and later in the Philippines-American War, and is still used by the Philippine Armed Forces till this day.
