In this video, I cleaned up a vintage, USA made pocketknife, and got it ready for some whittling!
This is a very minimal degree of restoration. I cleaned off the orange surface rust, cleaned beneath the shell scales and tightened them down, oiled the joints, sharpened the blades, and reshaped the pen blade a bit.
Again, it's not a full restoration, just a sprucing-up to achieve a serviceable condition!
This knife has even sold before the uploading of this video! It has sold on etsy as a part of a whittling kit, which includes a vintage knife, a face carving guide, and some stock wood.
