The EU’s Digital Product Passport – new compliance requirements for manufacturers

Описание: The EU’s upcoming Digital Product Passport (DPP) regulation will transform how manufacturers produce and sell goods into Europe and the wider world.
As part of the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation, businesses will need to provide “comprehensive information about each product’s origin, materials, environmental impact and disposal recommendations” through a DPP.

The DPP will accompany goods throughout their life cycles, with data collection needing to be conducted by manufacturers from design stage to the sourcing of materials, from assembling the goods to post-sale repairs.
On 23 January 2025, the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade hosted a free webinar introducing the DPP regulations and giving an overview of how manufacturers can prepare for the significant new compliance requirements.

The webinar is being followed by two deep-dive ‘Lunchtime Learning’ webinars in February going into further detail on how to prepare for new DPP requirements, as well as compliance with other pertinent rules for manufacturers such as carbon border adjustment mechanisms and general product safety regulations.
