Hypernauts - Episode 1 "First Contact"

Описание: Synopsis: Three cadets, Russell “Ace” Antonov (Glenn Herman) the team's "ace” pilot, Noriko “Max” Matsuda (Heidi Lucas of “Salute Your Shorts” fame) the team medic, and Ricardo “Sharkey” Alvarez (Marc Brandon Daniel) the team's engineer and computer technician from the Academy of Galactic Exploration are accidentally catapulted into the galactic core after they become lost in a Hyper Bubble (hyperspace) mid-jump where they rescue Kulai (Carrie Dobro of the Babylon 5 spinoff series “Crusade” fame), an alien Pyrian and the Gloose from Kulai's enemy, Paiyin (Ron Campbell). Kulai (unbeknownst to the cadets) is a Chalim priestess from a planet called Pyria.

They are in a distant sector of the galaxy, when they encounter the war-like race called the Triiad, under the command of Paiyin, who have destroyed Pyrus and other planets that were strip-mined with a singular purpose: To wipe out intelligent races, and in the process acquire raw materials from their destroyed planets to continually create new war machines using automated self-replicating factory ships called "Makers." Unable to match the Triiad's firepower in their ship, the “Flapjack”, which is Hyper Bubble capable but has a short range unlike a full-fledged exploration ship, they have to rely on wit, stealth, and speed to avoid their evil clutches. They must warn Earth, but dare not lead the Triiad to their homeworld.
