Help Us Save One of the Rarest Mammals on the Planet!
The New Georgian Monkey-faced bat (Pteralopex taki) was historically found in the Western Solomon Islands.
Unfortunately,this species has dramatically declined throughout its range by large-scale deforestation for timber and conversion to palm oil plantations. This project will send researchers back to the last remaining tracts of ancient forest on the Solomon Islands for the first time in 21 years to find and document this endangered species.
Lubee Bat Conservancy needs your help to raise funds that will directly benefit conservation and community efforts to save this species. We've never put together a fund raising campaign quite like this and we hope that you'll join us.
