Representatives from Governor Greg Abbott’s office directly contacted the Jamie Haynes for State Representative campaign to clarify that Governor Abbott has not endorsed Holly Jeffreys in the Texas House District 86 Republican primary. The recent mailer distributed in the district claiming such an endorsement was therefore inaccurate.
Our campaign remains committed to a policy-focused race grounded in facts, solutions, and the issues that matter most to the residents of HD 86. We will continue to run on substance—discussing fiscal responsibility, education, economic opportunity, border security, tax reduction, and conservative principles—rather than engaging in personal attacks or misinformation.
More than 76% of contributions to Jeffreys come from special interest PACs, with more than 80% from donors outside House District 86.
The Jamie Haynes for State Representative campaign has raised over $276,000, with only $6,500 coming from PAC contributions. In contrast, Holly Jeffreys has raised nearly $570,000, with $433,602.09 coming from PAC contributions.
