Ingredients
To make about 400 gms of chocolate butter icing
100 gms of soft butter
Amul / president I used salted as its easily available everywhere
300 gms of fine icing sugar
3 to 4 tablespoons of truffle sauce
Will post the link at the end .
1/2 tspn of vanilla essence
Or
3 to 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder
And same amount of cream and mix it well .
Or
3 to 4 tablespoons of warm melted chocolate ( not hot!)
And same mount of cream
In both recipes it could be any cream
No home made cream please .
To decorate the cake I used :
2 chocolate sponges of one pound each Use half my recipe in 5 inch tins .
About double the recipe of the chocolate butter icing
So it would be
200 gms butter
And
600 gms of icing sugar.
For the filling I used 400 gms truffle sauce
That would be about 2 heaped cups
2 tablespoons of choco chips
Fancy sprinkles
Tips
You can store the butter icing in the fridge for a few days . You can also put it in the freezer for a week or so but then you need to defrost it and beat again.
You may also use the butter icing as a filling too.
that means you can put it inside ur sponge while doing the layering .
