STORY OF ARIX:

Sivas, Tokat, Erzurum, Gümüşhane, Amasya, Yozgat, Samsun, Giresun, Trabzon, Elazığ, Malatya and Dersim regions were also affected by this earthquake, which was recorded as the 39 Erzincan Earthquake. Arix, a Koçgiri elegy, was dedicated to the December 1939 Erzincan Earthquake. This lament was made for two brothers who died in the Arix (Sarun) village of Sivas İmranlı (Maciran) in the same earthquake.

Arix is ​​a village of the Saran tribe. It is said that the earthquake occurred suddenly at night. It is a cold winter day when Koçgiri people have difficulty digging graves for their dead souls. The Arix rug is the work of women from Koçgiri who lament at his grave. The first person to go to the village of Arix and compile the lament was Hasret Gültekin. Arix compiled his elegy 3 years before he died.
