The sport of GRID was created by CrossFit, Director of Media, Tony Budding.
Tony hired me personally to oversee all edits of what began as an effort to pitch this new idea to potential investors and networks.
Once the idea sold, we created a league that featured 8 teams around the country competing in the world's first truly co-ed sport.
Once our inaugural season began, I created and managed show content. I built and delivered our post-produced 90 minute shows for NBC Sports Network. This included creating athlete profiles & features regarding rules of the game etc.
I was the lead editor for 2 seasons which I really enjoyed. The experience taught me a lot about the demands of being involved in a sports start-up company.
GRID didn't grow to realize its full potential, but there are athletes that are still holding GRID competitions out there in the world.
