Описание: The City of Boulder City celebrated Public Power Week by working to educate a future generation of potential public power employees. On Thursday, October 2, 2025. Utilities Director Joe Stubitz collaborated with Andrew J. Mitchell and Martha P. King Elementary Schools to teach youth about the work of his staff and hopefully inspire future leaders for Boulder City’s Utilities Department. Some students were selected to go up in a bucket truck to see from the vantage point of our employees. Boulder City’s Utilities Department provides power to more than 8,000 residential and business customers. We are one of 2,000 public power utilities that provide electricity to 49 million people across the country. Public Power Week is celebrated the first full week of October and runs from Sunday, October 5 through Saturday, October 11, 2025.
