Описание: Tricholoma batschii is a common and striking white-spored mushroom growing in sometimes prolific numbers under pines, with which it forms ectomycorrhizal relationships. It has a distinctive bronze cap, and a similar-coloured stipe (stalk) that has a sharp transition to white where the cap edge originally attached to the stipe. While in theory edible, it is extremely bitter. In this video I use the name Tricholoma fracticum, but it seems that this species is absent from Aotearoa/New Zealand, and this species is actually T. batschii.
