Bad weather and broken fences are never a good combination.
A blizzard rolled through, the wind didn’t let up, and sometime during the day, the fences went down. When that happens, there’s nothing to do but wait for morning and hope the cows stayed put.
This video starts the night I found the fence down and follows into the next morning — counting cows, fixing what broke, and dealing with whatever the weather left behind.
No big lessons. Just a cold night, a long morning, and the reality of livestock when things don’t go to plan.
