A vintage train service provided by KAI Wisata is not a regular train running every day. It only operates for a tourist round-trip from Ambarawa Station (now is a museum) to Tuntang Station. The train provided is pulled by a steam locomotive B 5112. Tourists are able to join the trip with two types of wooden carriages, AR for VIP and CR for regular. The train is named Baru Klinthing, based on a local legend which is told as the beginning of the existence of Rawa Pening Lake.
This video shows the beauty of Baru Klinthing running through the track beside Rawa Pening Lake which has an amazing view. The track is built between several mountains such as Telomoyo, Merbabu, and Ungaran.
