Minecraft Hide and Seek adapts the classic children’s game of hide-and-seek into a Minecraft multiplayer minigame. A few players are randomly assigned the role of “Seekers,” while everyone else becomes “Hiders.” The Hiders’ goal is to hide and avoid being found, while the Seekers try to track them down and “tag” — or eliminate — them.
Depending on the server or mod version, the game can have special mechanics: Hiders might disguise themselves as animals or blocks, or use gadgets; Seekers might get tools or powers to help them locate Hiders.

At the start of each round, one or more Seekers are chosen at random; the rest become Hiders.
Hiders get a short amount of time (e.g., 30 seconds) to find a hiding spot while Seekers wait.
After that, Seekers are released and must find and tag the Hiders. In some versions, tagging might involve hitting or using a “catch” mechanic.
If a Hider is found, they might be eliminated, turned into a Seeker, or otherwise removed from active hiding — depending on the variant.
A round ends when either all Hiders are found (Seeker win) or the time runs out and some Hiders remain hidden (Hiders win).
