IDA-GA and Parent to Parent of Georgia are excited to offer this 4-part Parent Webinar Series designed to give parents practical tools to support their child’s learning journey.
In this webinar, IDA-GA Board Member Dr. Jennifer Lindstrom equips families with essential knowledge on Georgia's Early Literacy and Dyslexia Act (HB 307). Parents and caregivers will gain a deeper understanding of the legislative requirements and learn what they mean for their child. The Q&A is intermixed throughout the webinar.

Our guest, Dr. Jennifer Lindstrom, serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Special Education at the University of Georgia. She directs ongoing research focusing on the causes and treatment of dyslexia and other learning disabilities, issues surrounding the provision of accommodations to individuals with dyslexia and other learning disabilities, and early literacy with a focus on teacher training. In addition, Dr. Lindstrom has been serving as the Statewide Dyslexia Coordinator for the Georgia Department of Education since 2021. Dr. Lindstrom’s leadership and guidance has helped to ensure that Georgia’s students get the “best of the best” from our teachers and schools.
Our host, Stephanie Moss, has a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Mississippi and a master's degree in clinical/school psychology from Louisiana State University as well as more than 30 years of experience working with individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities. Stephanie joined Parent to Parent of Georgia in July 2007 as the Parent Training and Information Center (PTI) Director and now serves as the Region B PTAC Project Co-Director and Chief Operating Officer. She also works as a Technical Assistance Specialist for the Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center (ECTA) where she provides TA to states to improve family engagement, equity and family outcomes. Prior to 2007, she worked with the Part C system in Georgia for twelve years, including six years as the state Part C Coordinator.
