Women in Afghanistan are up in arms against the Taliban’s U-turn on securing women’s rights. Now, only those women civic workers whose positions men cannot fill will be allowed to work.
Women activists are protesting for their rights outside the women's ministry since September 19. The new interim Taliban-led Afghan govt has closed the Ministry of Women’s affair in Kabul. Instead, Taliban Ministry for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice has been introduced.
