A conversation with scientist and care innovator Rajiv Mehta about what he has learned from the creation and use of the Atlas CareMap about our lives as caregivers across lifespan.
He will, in abbreviated form, lead us into conversation and possibly exercise to reflect (within the constraints of time) on our own experiences in caring for family and friends, and to expand the conversation around family and community care (from a narrow, medical-oriented perspective, to an appreciation that caring for each other is fundamental to being human.
Presenter: Rajiv Mehta is CEO of the non-profit, Atlas of Caregiving, conducting ground-breaking research on family caregiving, and developing innovative tools to help families and communities care for themselves.
Rajiv is on the board of the Family Caregiver Alliance, and co-organizer of Quantified Self. Prior to his focus on families, he led business and innovation efforts at tech companies (Apple, Adobe, etc.) and scientific research at NASA. Rajiv is a globally-sought speaker and advisor on consumer health and technology. He studied at Princeton (BS), Stanford (MS), and Columbia (MBA).
