Louis Vuitton is a classic brand and to bring him on board and deconstruct everything that is classic is pretty cool, Cargo pants with zippers and suits with sneakers and parkers and sleeping bags. He keeps breaking it down, I don't know where he is going to go next but it's great to see such a classic brand being deconstructed in the way that he does."

So I think all the details, the attention to details, the attention to the styling, that to me is luxury right now, all the consideration in every aspect of every look of every piece. That is what Lux is for me in a young modern way."

MARC JACOBS HEADS FOR THE SKY

Following last week's collections in Milan, men's fashion has moved to Paris this week. Marc Jacobs was amongst the first to hit the catwalks with his latest line for Louis Vuitton.

Taking inspiration from the mountain trail, Jacobs accessorised outfits in high quality fabrics with beaded cowhide belts, clip-on key holders and compasses.

Moving away from his recent penchant for grunge, Jacobs went for a sportier look but kept that Vuitton travel heritage firmly in focus.

His colour palette has also changed and was more vibrant, introducing blues, mauves, orange and heathery hues to the designs.

Thick horizontal stripes of colour appeared on trousers and sweaters or block coloured tops were matched to contrasting single colour trousers.

Models wore vest tops with combat style trousers tucked into boots. Alternatively tight fitting track suit style pants were worn alongside loose outdoor sports jackets and puffy body warmers.

Zips featured heavily on both trousers and jackets with buttons restricted to smarter outsized suit jackets and the odd denim jacket.
