CSS for beginners 22: background-repeat property

Описание: Hi there and welcome! 😊 In this video, we will learn how to use background-repeat CSS property to control background image repetition.

When we set image like a background for some web page, if that image is not big enough to cover complete background surface that image will repeat until all surface is covered.
This default behaviour can be controlled with background-repeat CSS property:
➡️ body { background-repeat: no-repeat; }
If we set no-repeat like a value for background-repeat CSS property, our background will not repeat to cover complete background surface and it will be displayed just once.

Background-repeat property allows us to control repetition for background image further more, for example with background-repeat property we can set that we allow repetition for our background image only horizontally or on x axis:
➡️ body { background-repeat: repeat-x; }
or, we can set that repetition for background image is allowed only vertically or on y axis:
➡️ body { background-repeat: repeat-y; }
