ਕਬਯੋਬਾਚ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਚੌਪਈ ਇਹ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਸਵੇਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਰਚਿਤ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਵ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਇਸ਼ਟ ਦੇਵ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ! ਸਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਔਗੁਣ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਕਰ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਕੱਟ ਦੇ। ਇਸ ਬਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਇੱਕ ਹੈ ਜੋ 'ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤ ਏਕੈ ਅਵਤਾਰਾ' ਹੈ।
Benti Chaupai (also referred to as Chaupai Sahib) is a hymn by Guru Gobind Singh. Chaupai is the 404th Charitar of the Charitropakhyan of the Dasam Granth and is a part of a Sikh's Nitnem (daily scripture reading).
Benti Chaupai consists of three parts: Kabiyo Bach Benti Chaupai, Arril and Chaupai, and Savaiye and Dohra. Kabiyo Bach Benti Chaupai is normally referred to as Chaupai in short.
