In today's tutorial, you will learn how to group rows or columns in Excel 2019.
Open the document you need. We already have a few examples for this tutorial.
Let's begin with rows. Select the ones you need. Go to 'Data' tab and click on 'Group' under 'Outline' category. Check 'rows' and click 'Ok'. Repeat if needed. Select the group. Go to 'Data' tab and click on 'Group' under 'Outline' category. Check 'rows' and click 'Ok'.
You can see a control panel for the groups on the left side of your window.
Let's group the three groups. Select them. Go to 'Data' tab and click on 'Group' under 'Outline' category. Check 'rows' and click 'Ok'.
To group columns, you need to select the ones you need. Go to 'Data' tab and click on 'Group' under 'Outline' category. Check 'columns' and click 'Ok'. You’ll have the control panel fro column groups at the top of the sheet.
