EAGLE POINT, Ore. -- Technology is one of the core aspects at Hillside Elementary School.
All grades use some sort of technology throughout the school day.
Whether its iPods or the touch computers, students get to take a hand-son approach to learning.
Fifth-grade classrooms use iPods to help them become better readers.
It's just cool because if you don't know a word you just click a button and it tells you the definition, said a student.
Each day when the students walk into school, they pass by a giant monitor that posts morning announcements and also each student's birthday.
One student says, It just makes you feel really special. Another unique aspect of Hillside is its rocking climbing wall, paid for by teacher.
Each Friday, the teachers hosted a bake sale and all of the proceeds went towards purchasing the rock wall.
