This vid is of me surfing Djarrk (Bells Beach) on a 9'4" Thomas Surfboards All Rounder that I borrowed from Tom Payne. Thanks Tom.
I stayed in my wetsuit all day and only got out of the water to eat a tin of tuna and drink some water.
It’s an incredible longboard wave. I watched Wayne Deane surf it it in the 2004 Australian Longboard Titles and remember the long, arching turns he was doing. Mine don't compare to his.
This was the first time I've ridden a 2+1 of this style and I'd not surfed Djarrk since the same event Wayne was in, in 2004 - fuck it was fun.
