Missed the breakout? Don’t chase. IFVG turns an impulse gap into a level you can trade against: wait for the retest, see if price respects the edge, then trade the push-away with tight risk.

How it works

A strong move leaves a Fair Value Gap (FVG).

Price revisits the gap.

If candles do not close through the far edge and then push away, the gap inverts into support (bullish) or resistance (bearish).

If price closes through the far edge → Fail (skip/exit).

Entry & risk

Long: Retest a bullish FVG from above → respect → bullish push-away → enter.

Short: Retest a bearish FVG from below → respect → bearish push-away → enter.

Stop: Just beyond the far edge (or the retest swing).

Targets: Next clean structure or 1R / 1.5R / 2R (scale partials at 1R).

Tips

Prefer fresh, clean displacement gaps (not chop).

Trade active sessions; add S/R (e.g., ILpac) and trend bias for confluence.

Use Once Per Bar Close alerts to avoid noise.
