Former Stanford University School of Medicine interventional cardiology fellow Dr. Ning “Maggie” Ning discusses complex high-risk percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI). Dr. Ning begins her lecture with a case review of a high-risk patient with cardiogenic shock undergoing left main PCI. Dr. Ning then summarizes trial evidence on protected PCI, outlining potential benefits for procedural complications. She then reviews the importance of optimized lesion preparation, intracoronary imaging guidance, overviews various devices, and concludes with revisiting the main PCI case study.
