Описание: Sample of light rounded grains of density 241 kg m⁻³ subjected to a temperature gradient of 40 K m⁻¹ at a temperature of -8°C during 1 week. Images are acquired by X-ray tomography every 4 hours at a spatial resolution of 8.5 µm. Experiment conducted at the Snow Research Centre of Grenoble (Météo-France, CNRS, Univ. Grenoble Alpes, Univ. Toulouse, CNRM, Centre d’Études de la Neige, 38000 Grenoble, France). Authors: Oscar Dick, Neige Calonne, Benoit Laurent, Pascal Hagenmuller.
