American detainees freed by Iran arrive in US after prisoner swap deal

Five Americans imprisoned in Iran for years made a return to the U.S. Tuesday. Their plane touched down from Qatar at a military airfield near Washington, D.C. In exchange for the Americans, President Joe Biden unfroze $6 billion in Iranian assets. The funds released to Iran represents money South Korea owed Iran for oil before the U.S. imposed sanctions on the transactions in 2019.
