Описание: Thannasi Appar was born to a village girl who made her living by looking after cowherds for grazing by Lord Shiva's grace. The child had a split tongue and so was called Pinnakku Siddhar. When time was ripe Pampatti Siddhar met him and graced him with divinity. Thereafter Pinnakku Siddhar started performing may miracles but nevertheless avoided disciples and people to associate with him. He went to a hollow cavity of a dead banyan tree and started his tapes. With time and cavity closed around him and he went into jeeva samadhi. The dead tree subsequently started blooming and now is seen spread out to a very large area around it. The massive old tree is now adored as the Thannasi Easar jeeva samadhi located 5 km awawy from Thirumalainaikenpalayam in outskirts of coimbatore city.
