Presenting Shaukiyathal, one of the best tourist attraction near Kunja Village Homestay. In fact Shaukiyathal is a part of Kunja village situated at the hill top. It is mainly famous for gorgeous Himalayan views coving the entire belt.

About Kunja Village Homestay

Kunja Village Homestay is a 50 year old heritage house in the hills of Kumaon situated in the Jageshwar range near Almora district of Uttarakhand. This is our ancestral home built in a typical Kumaoni architecture with thick 21 inch stone walls, wooden ceiling, tin roof and the low height rooms to keep them warm during the winters.

Kunja Village homestay is located right in the middle of the village approximately 100 meters from the taxi stand. Surrounded by the dense forests of Oak, Cedar, Pine and Rhododendron trees. While you reach here through the zig zag roads don't forget to enjoy the off roading experience. It takes around one hour from Almora which is about 35 Kms. The nearest market is Panuwanaula at a distance of 8 Kms.

Kunja Village Homestay provides 5 private king size rooms to our guests which are well furnished. We believe that the future of work is going to be remote and hence all our rooms are fully equipped with essential amenities required for this kind of work environment. It includes free wifi routers, router ups, plenty of plug points and sockets. But, we would love to see you outdoors.

Along with the stay, our homestay has a rooftop restaurant which serves fresh local delicacies in addition to the on demand menu, a reception desk, laundry, a store room, garden with the seasonal fruits and vegetables, courtyard and a bonfire area. We also have an open theatre on the terrace for our guests to enjoy.

One should visit Kunja Village Homestay to experience the authentic and genuine village life in Kumaon hills of Uttarakhand. We aim to connect our guests with our Indian roots, mother nature and cultural diversity. One can enjoy and be part of the daily lives of the villagers, get involved with the agricultural and farming activities, shower your love on pets and animals and be lost in the beautiful hills in the lower Himalayas.
