Last year Gary Speirs and his daughter, Maiya, recorded a fantastic Kiltwalk song "26 Miles" which we loved so much, we adopted it as the 2013 Kiltwalk Song. Oor Kiltwalkers loved it too, in fact they loved it so much that with a bit of arm twisting, Gary and Maiya decided to record another one for 2014 and it's another BELTER!! Which will have you singing along.

The images depict a mixture of Kiltwalkers and Kiltwalk Kids and provide an insight to why we all do what we do. In addition to being great lyricists and singers, Gary and Maiya are also Kiltwalkers as is her Mum, brothers, family and friends. They Kiltwalk in memory of their wonderful, spirited daughter and sister, Cora.

Cora, born with brain damage and cerebral palsy, was only expected to live for a short while, but her spirit and love of life meant she defied the odds until sadly joining the Faerie's in the autumn of 2012.

That's why they walk, that's why we walk, so let's all sing together. Sing loud and proud and let the world hear us. Here's the words:
