Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has once again witnessed a tense situation. On Monday night, alleged slogans were raised against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the 6th anniversary of the 2020 anti-national incident. According to media reports, the incident occurred shortly after the Supreme Court refused to grant bail to student activists Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam in the Delhi riots conspiracy case. Sources say the slogans were raised in the Sabarmati Hostel area, where left-leaning student groups were protesting against the court’s decision.
