This is a track in Perfect Dark that sadly never seems to get much attention or remixes done of it, so I wanted to give it a go! I'm actually very pleased with the result, I've spent a LOT of time making sure this was just right, many, many hours. I wanted to make this one more cinematic like an orchestra although it has a few synths and strings to give it that mystery and wonder. It has highs and lows, dark and light. Think of this as a modern-day remix of the Area 51 Rescue theme with modern instruments.

Now a lot of inspiration went into this one, I wanted it to have a strong US military presence type feeling of secrecy and an alien type feel you get from The X-Files which was always one of my favorite shows growing up and the X-Files music by Mark Snow was so good, funny thing is Perfect Dark was inspired by the X-Files. Another inspiration of mine was Mass Effect, one of the best game series I've ever played, the Trilogy was so good, a game you wish you could forget so you could experience it again. X-Files was so eerie and had an atmosphere of such mystery. The happy parts I wanted to make similar to E.T. I also wanted it to have a bit of a sound that would remind you of the Twilight Zone and the 1950's. Another inspiration was the show 24. The end result was a feeling of mystery, wonder, conspiracy and government secrets. What could really be at Area 51? We may never have an answer.
