I was in a Lily & Ryle relationship for 3 years where there was constant degrading, threats and disrespect. Broken doors and constant fear for my safety. Police called more than 5 times and each time I forgave and stayed because of promises to be better.
I felt like there was no out and would repeatedly go back, at least 20 times over again. I lost myself and all of my friends during that time because he was so good at manipulating, he could turn anyone against me and say it was my fault.
When I realized I was at the darkest part of my life and thought that being alone couldn’t possibly be as hard as that relationship. I was scared to leave, what if he was right that no one could love me and he was the only option because i was so awful. I took a chance anyway, and he was wrong.
