Hello everyone!
In this video we take a short tour of Rathenauplatz and Goethestrasse.
Let's start our journey at Hauptwache, which is a major transport hub and beautiful square in the center of Frankfurt.
Next we will proceed to Rathenauplatz, which borders Goetheplatz.
Rathenauplatz is part of the Rossmarkt, which was founded in the Middle Ages.
The square is a pedestrian area with a fountain, which is especially popular in the summer heat.
The perimeter development of the quarter is characterized by monumental buildings from the Wilhelminian period, restored after war damage, as well as commercial buildings in a simple style from the reconstruction period of the 1950s.
Next, we turn off and take a stroll along Goethestrasse, Frankfurt's most popular luxury shopping street.
