How I Pulled off my Dream Shoot - 90's Fashion vibes

Welcome back to Adventure and Art. I’m Ben Staley — photographer, filmmaker, and hopeless romantic for the golden age of fashion photography.

In this episode, I finally brought to life an idea I’ve been dreaming about for months: a smoky, sunlit 90s-style alley shoot inspired by Peter Lindbergh and the iconic fashion work of that era. My friend and pro model Jenna West absolutely brought it — timeless, effortless, and pure energy.

I shot this entire session on four cameras — two 35mm film setups (Nikon F4 + Leica M6) and two digital systems (Sigma BF + Lumix S5IIX). It’s a study in texture, tone, and nostalgia — and proof that sometimes your best work comes from following the image in your head until it becomes real.
